Today we are highlighting one of our #diamondstrong HVAC team members, Will Klusener. We are excited to chat with him and let you get to know him a little better!
DMC: Will, how long have you been in the plumbing industry?
Will: I have been in the industry for three years. I have worked as a service plumber and a drain cleaner.
DMC: What do you enjoy most about your career?
Will: I enjoy the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. Solving problems is really satisfying, especially when that also involves helping people. It is wonderful to feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of each day.
DMC: What do you think is the biggest myth about the plumbing industry?
Will: That it is gross. On a typical day, you really don’t get that dirty. Obviously, on occasion, it can be dirty and smelly, but on an average day, it really isn’t.
DMC: How long have you worked for DMC Service and why did you join the team?
Will: I have been with DMC Service for almost 2 years. I joined the team because my first impression of the leadership was great – Karen and Jeff seemed honest and forthright and I was drawn to work for a company that exemplifies those qualities. DMC has lived up to the hype, it is wonderful to work for a company where I can genuinely say I like all the people. Additionally, with a smaller organization, I knew it would give me a lot of opportunities to learn and grow.
DMC: If you could advise customers one thing that would help their plumbing systems run better, what would that be?
Will: Don’t pour grease down your drain. Flushable wipes are not flushable.
DMC: That is awesome advice, why don’t you tell us about yourself?
Will: I’m Kansas born and raised. I graduated from K-State. For nearly ten years I was in the newspaper business, starting with the Manhattan Mercury and then with the Morning Sun in Pittsburg, KS. I live with my fiancé, Courtney, and our two cats and dog.
DMC: What do you do when you aren’t at work?
Will: I like to watch movies and woodworking. Courtney & I like to travel. I am a big K-State Fan (emaw) and love the Chiefs.
